Chocolate Orange Cookies

Chocolate Orange Cookies


  • 150 grams of soft margarine,
  • 1 teacup of  oil (110 ml.),
  • 1 egg,
  • 1 cup of starch,
  • 1 cup of powdered sugar,
  • 1 tablespoon of yogurt,
  • 1 packet of vanilla (5 grams),
  • Half packet of baking powder (1 teaspoon),
  • 1 packet of bitter chocolate (80 grams),
  • 1 grated orange peel,
  • 3 or 3 and half cups of flour (the cup is; 200 ml.).


  1. Firstly grate the orange peel, (be careful about leaving the white sides of the orange peel)
  2. Make the chocolate into the small pieces with the help of a knife.
  3. Put the margarine at the room temperature, oil, egg, starch, sugar powder, yogurt and the vanilla into a deep bowl.
  4. Mix them until it gets cream form (You can also make this by using a fork).
  5. Add one cup of flour and the half of the baking powder into the mixture and start kneading.
  6. Then add flour slowly and knead until you get a soft but not sticky dough.
  7. At the end add the chocolate pieces and the grated orange peel and make them spread all the dough.
  8. Take walnut sized pieces from the dough and roll them in to your palm.
  9. Press them with your fingers lightly and put them in to the greased tray.
  10. Bake them into the preheated oven to 200°C until they burst.
  11. Make the heat of the oven to 150°C and bake for 3 or 4 minutes more.
  12. Then take the cookies from the oven and let them cool into the tray.
  13. Sprinkle the sugar powder on them and serve.
